Laser Assisted Liposuction - Very Lastest in Fat Removal!
Laser-assisted lipolysis is a new, minimally invasive technology that vaporizes fat for easy removal. The laser also directly contracts collagen, stimulates new collagen production and tightens the skin, not seen with standard liposuction.
What are the benefits of Laser Lipo?
- Treats unwanted fat and resistant fat cells allowing you more comfort.
- Micro incisions that heal rapidly without requiring any suturing.
- Local anesthesia. Awake during the procedure.
- Minimal down time. Back to work in 2-3 days.
- Skin tightening with the new laser technology significantlly better than traditional liposuction.
- Minimal bruising and faster healing time than traditional liposuction.
- Minimal discomfort.
Does this procedure have FDA Clearance?
Laser Lipolysis was approved in late 2006 by the FDA and is one of the most sought after methods for slimming the body.
Does laser-assisted lipolysis produce lasting results?
Yes! The Laser Lipo procedure permanently destroys the treated fat cells by vaporizing the fat storing cell. Furthermore, the average adult throughout their lifetime does not regenerate new fat cells unless they become pregnant or extremely obese. This allows for dramatic and permanent results with this procedure.
Who is a good candidate for the procedure?
A good candidate for the procedure is an individual that has unwanted fat pockets yet falls within a certain weight range for their size. This procedure is also good for loose, saggy skin that would normally be treated with major large incision surgeries. Clients who have had less than satisfactory results from traditional liposuction are ideal candidates for “touch ups” and revisions.
What areas can be treated?
Laser Lipo is ideal to treat fat areas in the Jowls, Neck, Abdomen, Flanks, Bra Pads, Knees, Thighs and Arms. Sculpting of male breasts has proven to be very successful with this treatment. It is a great adjunct to traditional liposuction techniques.
How many treatments are required?
For most patients, typically only one treatment is required. The amount of fat that canr be removed and the number of areas suitable for treatment in a single session is determined by the amount of lidocaine that can be safely administered in one session. This is determined by the patient's weight. Sometimes for safety's sake the procedure will be split into several sessions.
Do I have to do anything post-treatment?
After the procedure you will need to hydrate with water and move. We ask our patients to start light exercise the day after surgery and many return to work within 2 days.
Most patients will relax for several days post-surgery and resume activities as their body feels more comfortable. Exercise and hydration will speed your recovery and get you your best results more quickly. You will need to wear a compression garment full-time for a week and part-time for 3 weeks. The compression garment is very comfortable and not noticeable under your clothing. The type of garment woren is dependent on the body area treated. Compression is important to help mobilize fluids.
When can I expect to see results?
Results are immediate. You will look better at six weeks than six days and better at 6 months than 6 weeks. Skin tightening will occur over time with results being seen up to six months to a year.
